Statement on the use of AI.
ALL MOMENTS CAPTURED IN REAL TIME BY A REAL HUMAN. INTIMATELY HANDCRAFTED — NEVER RUSHED.
Whenever I get around to including a FAQ section somewhere on here, this will be front and center. For now, the subject matter is pressing enough to include on its own. THIS PAGE ISN’T FOR EVERYONE, but for those who care to know (an increasing number of you), I believe this will prove helpful.
in an age where information and tasks are seemingly becoming easier and more accessible due to the rise of artificial intelligence, it raises an interesting question that the wedding photography industry has never quite been faced with before. Should wedding photographers implement AI into their workflow?
In my opinion, I believe that the AI revolution has done serious harm to the creative industry at large. Wedding photos themselves will never be able to be artificially created (at least not yet), but what worries me is the increasing number of advertisements for AI photography post-processing software that I see on an almost daily basis on social media. These advertisements target wedding photographers who spend around 70% of their time in front of a computer screen editing and culling their galleries (myself included). The promise of a drastic cut in the time spent editing or organizing a full wedding gallery by hours can certainly feel tempting.
I have had an increasing number of clients ask me if I use any form of AI in my workflow. My answer is and always will be this—
Hard pass.
Every image—every moment—is painstakingly curated to ensure you receive your dream wedding gallery. to use any form of AI software that allows me to do anything less that this would be disingenuous. The tradeoff is obvious—more time spent editing means a longer turnaround time. this is to be expected.
But At the end of the day, I spend the time because it is my passion to provide a quality product, Not so I can say that I work harder than anyone else. There are plenty of photographers who use these softwares, and that is well within their right to do so. This is not a knock against anyone.
My hope is that by putting in the work, I will be able to provide you with exactly what you would expect from working with me—a wedding gallery that will stand the test of time and will be enjoyed for generations to come. Intimately handcrafted—never rushed.
